Guaiu Beach, Santo Andre
(4.6/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web)
You can almost feel your pulse slow when you arrive at Guaiu Beach. A couple of small guesthouses contribute all of the infrastructure you'll find at this expansive stretch of pristine sand backed by miles of lush vegetation. You can bathe in the shallow, clear sea or in the river that flows into it. Walking, reading, eating, and watching shrimp fishermen cast their nets into the sea top the list of activities. Guesthouses serve up homemade pastas with the sea's bounty. Just remember to bring cash because most places do not take cards. • Don't expect beach huts, loud music or ferveção. The business there is peace. Fun night. Walks are the best. For a rest and a drink there are a few points during the day is to forget the world. The Bino's tent, on the beach, in addition to the Maria Jimena, more sophisticated, also on the beach, are the options to take a break and eat something. Simple but tasty cuisine. The aratu and siri are wonderful.

  • When we went to the beach of Guaiú, it was windy and a little as we went in the off-season, she was practically deserted. On the beach there is a side where are the tents of Maria Jimena and Elias and Leonice that offer a good infrastructure for the beach goers. Straight ahead there is a beach area where the river and the sea meet, and where people are concentrated, too. The rest of the beach is almost deserted and is great for rest and walk into the sea.
