  • The entry for access to the peak is on private property. The price charged is 25 reais to access to the peak and 15 reais to access the waterfall rappel. After you paid and entered no one monitors where you will. Access to waterfall has a gazebo to the lagoon. My advice: stay right there and pay only 15 reais. The trail is three miles, almost all in gravel, very tiring and totally in the Sun. On the way there are rare plates indicating the peak. We lost several times. The 1, 5 km of the peak there is a ranch, which is closed, but have access to bathroom. From there, you walk 1 km track almost flat. The last 500 meters are the hardest. The ascent is steep and slippery. This is a track that I would never do it again. The view is very beautiful, but if you are halfway, you'll see almost the same thing. The way to the back, almost next to the point of arrival is more complicated still, because you can't see where you have to go and signaling is zero. In the end, we went to a waterfall. They said it wasn't the rappel. She is very dull and very small, but well after the sacrifice served to refresh.

  • Great trail to do with his girlfriend or alone, the view from there is awesome. Recommend starting very early, it's almost 2 hours of walking up to the top

  • When I arrived at the gate of the property, the peak is in particular area, there were two officials next to each other. the first asked me if I was going to peak, I said yes, so he charged me R $25.00 and made me fill out a form when I guy asked if I was going to the waterfalls, I said yes, then charged me more R $15.00 wasn't getting along very well, because the track is the same, to reach the peak you have to pass by waterfalls have argued that had already paid but to no avail, so don't stress I ended up paying over R $15.00 to walk by the same way. I went up the track and there was nothing to distinguish who was going nowhere, that is, if you get to talk to that will just in the waterfall, you pay only $ $15.00, passes through waterfalls and still climbing up to the peak. By the value that is charged the trail is very badly signposted, being very easy to get lost, because there are several open trails that simply end up in the middle of the Woods. lucky that you have several reference points, then sooner or later you end up going back to the right path

Where to stay in Serra do Cipo

In keeping with the wild character of the landscape, Serra do Cipo National Park's accommodations are mainly campsites and simple lodgings. All are affordable and basic, but well maintained, and many offer equipment rental services. Look just west of the park (in the town of the same name), for simple, comfortable hotels in the center; on the outskirts you'll see government-owned pousadas, small and rustic chalets designed for park adventurers.
