  • Incredibly beautiful, white sand beach, warm water, many coconut trees. The beach is frequented by tourists and locals, who take advantage of the shade of trees and coconut palms of restaurants that are on the edge. Great place to spend the whole day.

  • Joanes is a very nice village, which is just over 5 km from the port of Cairns rafts (Salvaterra). Like everything in Brazil, has no internet signal, so there's no debit/credit machine. The visit is focused on the ruins of the Church of our Lady of the Rosary, which is by the sea and on the beach large Joanes, that is beautiful. Has a nice little shop of local crafts, but that unfortunately, as only accept payment in $ $, if you don't do a good sack of money before embarking to the island, coming back without souvenirs. Look for Mr. Sales restaurant for lunch, fair price, tasty food and hopefully still is the owner there, to have a finger of prose.

  • Is on the side of Salvaterra (opposite the Soure), i.e. on the other side of the Paracauari River. To cross it, you pay $ 5 for the ferry that leaves all the time. Everything in Brazil is made up of bike or taxi, because the distances are great and the heat is intense. The beach is quiet and in September the waters were so close the support bases that are a few restaurants that have shadows and tables.
