every corner is worth a visit, even if it's fast and so is the lighthouse, the difference is to get it in time for sunset and delight yourself with the landscape

The fortification is in good condition. The Museum has many navigation objects, replicas and items rescued from shipwreck. The view is beautiful. To climb the lighthouse just up the 5:10 pm.

Is a must, but you have to pay to visit the Museum and climb the lighthouse. Museum with collection very Rico and varied. Worth every penny of the ticket.

Where to stay in Salvador

The majority of accommodations in Salvador fall into three distinct groupings. If you want to be close to the best historical attractions, stay in or near the old town of Pelourinho, a few minutes from the city's west-facing coastline. This also puts you in the heart of Salvador's tourist-driven nightlife. Your second option is to stay at the southwestern tip of the city, in the neighborhood of Barram, where you'll have instant access to one of Salvador's favorite beaches. Finally, look a bit farther afield to Rio Vermelho, a quieter beachside neighborhood facing south.
