  • Worth to want to learn more history of capoeira in Brazil. We were served by a very friendly and enthusiastic. We made the visit on a Monday, at 2:30 pm, there was only one open academies. It is important to remember that the place closes at lunchtime.

  • The Fort has existed since the beginnings of the city. Protected doors além do Carmo, edge of town. As a fortification also served several times in prison, there are heavily barred doors. Several illustrious Bahian attended their cells in the coup of 64. Most noble destination today, serves as a Centre for the development of capoeira, with several teaching masters. The architecture is very beautiful and has a privileged view of the Baia de Todos os Santos, if you can watch a sunset. Unfortunately we don't always get to walk in your walls. in the largo de Santo Antônio, in front of the Fort you can attend rodas de samba in a nostalgic mood with appearance of inner city.

  • Opportunity to attend courses of capoeira and musical instruments (which I did not accept the name). Is free, but the level remains globally low (the profs are doing well, students - it is normal - more difficult...)
