Where to stay in Salvador

The majority of accommodations in Salvador fall into three distinct groupings. If you want to be close to the best historical attractions, stay in or near the old town of Pelourinho, a few minutes from the city's west-facing coastline. This also puts you in the heart of Salvador's tourist-driven nightlife. Your second option is to stay at the southwestern tip of the city, in the neighborhood of Barram, where you'll have instant access to one of Salvador's favorite beaches. Finally, look a bit farther afield to Rio Vermelho, a quieter beachside neighborhood facing south.

  • PARAMANA: Beach located on the island of Friars-Ba. According to the locals the same today is not within tourist itinerary, shared the lack of infrastructure. But it is perfect for spending the day with the family. The mare is high or low always calls for a good swim. It is almost 60 km of Salvador (capital). HOW to GET THERE: Follow to Madre de barge terminal, we take God of mother to the beach of Paramana. INFRASTRUCTURE: no infrastructure, some locals have opened in their small houses tents with drinks, food and toilet. But not all the way to the beach. The best place for bathing in the sea have no tent. I recommend taking your food and drink to stay more comfortable. Our group found no place to bathe in fresh water. I also saw revitalization works. Maybe in a year the frame is another. Security: don't feel like no time with fear. I found quiet and sometimes seen in Beach cops. Values: boarding pass: R$ 3.30 (on both ferry terminal) shipment fee: 0.60 R$ (it is charged only at the maritime terminal of mother of god) in a public Parking: 10.00 to 20.00 R$ R$ food and drink: there are guys

  • Very nice quiet place and clean. Beautiful views and crystal clear waters. Without many stalls which makes you live longer and leave the comforts of staying in a tent.

  • Find out more a paradise so close Salvador, actually had some good Paramana references, and I went up there and check it out. We arrived at the ferry terminal of mother of God, we took a ferry, crossing lasted about 20 minutes and then we ended up in a wonderful place Paramana, peaceful beach, the natives are quite pleasant. Has the farm Loreto worth knowing, it's nice to go the beach at low tide and back up the trail, inside the farm. Oh, the last ferry leaves at 5:00 pm, a great opportunity to watch a beautiful sunset.
