  • In many tourist cities have a center of Commerce. We had already prepared not to accept anything from strangers and stay attentive and really saw several people offering things on the street (tererê, Mr. good's order). We like the fair but we don't like the lack of sympathy of the traders.

  • The market works of 9:00 the 7:00 pm from Monday to Saturday, and Sundays and holidays from 9:00 the 4:00 pm. We prefer parking under the Lacerda Elevator that has blue zone and cross the street. In relation to other centers of craft he has internal streets wide and is well ventilated (fans). Has a wide variety of clothing, leather goods, paintings, biscuits, peppers. It seemed very expensive. I'm from the land and I saw nothing original ... the same things that we bought in Recife, Brazil, Aracaju with the name Salvador and expensive. I know who are going through financial needs but I think unfair to take it out on our tourists. One way or another with the tapes of the Banks and else equal to that of other Northeastern States. Products like cakes, peppers and crackers much more expensive than in Ceasinha. Worth going to because is near the Lacerda Elevator that leads to the Praça da Sé/axis Pillory, as is passing and the largest center of artanato that we have got to go take a look. The trick is if I go to other cities let to buy everything I researched I found up to 50% cheaper in Alagoas in February of that year. Go get ice cream from kibom and enjoy the view of all Saints Baìa in restaurants of the second floor and enjoy the 24 boxes. Another thing I don't understand is to let those thieves and esmolés mixed Gypsies at the door ... watch them!

  • A great option for you to buy various utensils, from leather slipper, music instruments, dolls, regional cachaças ... also has 2 restaurants with views of the harbor.

  • Very nice market mostly for tourists. Products are special and not expensive. Outside the building beatifull sites of the city.
  • Touristic touristic touristic. Too touristic.
  • Unfair prices! Go to the Pelorinhos central square- everything is cheaper there.
  • It's an unique place, for me it was anyway, since I had never been to a market like this prior to my first trip to Salvador. You can find a lot of different products for sale from inside the market as well as from sellers outside in the open part. You can likely barter with them to get a lower price on your items as I did that before. So it's something to keep in mind. If you're looking to go to Morro de São Paulo you can get your boat ticket from an office nearby here as well. I think it's just on the outside of the mercado.
