  • Ida is mandatory in the House "Red River" the collection, showing the story of Jorge Amado and Zélia Gattai. The whole story is told with audio visual, home garden is beautiful. And the Wednesday visits are free. During other days are paid.

  • We meet the Red River's House and we love it!!! The House where they live writer Zélia Gattai and Amado's beautiful, full of art, color and love, has a cozy atmosphere is you come out with desire to go back to view each object and your story. We did the tour, to recommend on the first visit, but next time I want to savor every little corner House, read the writings, hear and view the audios videos. Well worth getting to know.

  • Well preserved, immersive and interactive. A highly insightful look into Jorge & Zelia's lives, loves and inspirations. Free on Wednesdays too.
  • Great restoration and very well organized guided visit. No languages other than Portuguese, though.
  • This is a very interesting place to visit: a family home of Brazilian writers Jorge Amado & Zelia Gattai turned into a charming house museum; a great place to learn about the spirit of Bahia, and also experience the much talked about "bohemian" heritage of the Rio Vermelho neighbourhood. Recommended.
  • Great place to visit
