Atalaia Beach, Salinopolis

4.4
#1 of 12 in Things to do in Salinopolis
Beach Nature / Park
During high season, Atalaia Beach resembles a "Mad Max" motorway with quads and bikes making rounds up and down the sand and through the water. Rent one of these vehicles to join the race, but if socializing and relaxing are more your cup of tea, then head under the umbrellas to meet and greet with locals and visitors. In the off season, the deserted sand alongside the rustic bars and kiosks gives the beach a desolate beauty that will inspire the artist in you.  Arrange to visit Atalaia Beach and other attractions in Salinopolis using our Salinopolis travel itinerary planner.

  • Beautiful beach, with good structure, being very interesting tide that at certain times the water recedes kilometers into the sea and after a few hours returns again. Beach released for circulation of cars generating a great movement.

  • One of the most beautiful Atlantic beaches of the country. Atalaia beach is an essential program for those who want to know the Stop. There are over 18 km of sand, where cars are allowed. Excellent for spending the day with family and friends

  • The beach itself is beautiful, and has a big structure of restaurants for lunch. However the visitor needs to be tuned to dirt and the cars that travel on sand. On the basis of having a current formed by strong waves, are often registered cases of drowning. Is packed with ease on the weekends of July.

  • Tourists access to the sands of the beach in their cars and remain close to them listening to music and making up until the time of the tide to rise, sunset very nice, shallow waters and tranquil, good for family and friends.

  • Traffic and noise are problematic, but can be minimized by going outside of the peak hours. Other than that it's a great beach.

  • The location is wonderful, the beach is beautiful, the city organized however come with cash because most places do not accept credit card (not debit and credit), so you decide to go get the money however you can't because the city does not have a 12:00 am Bank. If you like I enjoyed the night, here is not as good as the leisure options come down to the beach for the day, because the night doesn't have a place if you want to p leisure ...

  • Paradise. Very nice to be on the beach in the Watchtower. Come back when you're not overcrowded, as in July. August is a great month to be there.

Where to stay in Salinopolis

Fairly evenly distributed throughout the main town center, accommodations in Salinopolis consist of cosy bed and breakfasts and mid-range hotels, some with private pools, beaches, and bars. Guesthouses offer comfortable rooms for more budget-conscious travelers, as do rental apartments down the center's many narrow side streets. If you've come by car, look for lodgings along the main road leading into town, where you'll have faster access to the surrounding landscape and the quieter beaches in the area.
