Gunga Beach, Roteiro

Celebrated for its extraordinary white sands and exuberant coconut groves, Gunga Beach offers the best of both worlds: a quiet inner beach and a bustling outer beach. The inner reef is quieter with soft white sands, small food and drink vendors, and calm waters. The outer reef is bustling with tourist activity, loud music, raging waves, many waterfront bar restaurants, and small shops selling handmade crafts. Praia do Gunga (Gungas Beach) has unique Maceió south coast positioning surrounded by high cliffs between Lagoa do Roteiro (Roteiro Lake) and the Atlantic Ocean. This gives the waters its signature turquoise color during low tide and its emerald green hue during high tide when the ocean waters meet the waters of the lake.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent equipment to go surfing, windsurfing, and jet skiing, or go on a boat tour beyond the reef. While none of the beaches in Brazil are private, access to this beach is private, but the coconut farm offers vehicle access for a fee. It's easier and more cost effective to get there by boat from Barra de São Miguel or via a tour guide company that transports you by bus or catamaran. • Many food options, but in your most are the same. The sellers of the snack bars run every 30 seconds giving you the same things. Use of tables and lounge chairs are expensive for the material offered. Very simple boat tours for the price. Landscape, splendid, beach and beautiful waters.

  • The main attraction of this beach is the ATV tour with visit the beautiful cliffs of Gunga. Already the beach, do not recommend, especially for those with children, found the sea very choppy.

  • $15 parking, chairs with 30.00 per table or $100 minimum consumption the R $150 to the tables of the sand. Very bad food and expensive media of R $100,00 each dish serves barely 2 people. The water is calm and warm, but on Sunday was too crowded.

  • Really very beautiful beach. But it has a great structure to make money but without infrastructure, dirty bathrooms, no SOAP, no toilet paper, no towel. The tables have minimum value of $50.00 to have right to sit. A coconut for 5.00 when on the beach beside are R $3.50. And in Maceió $2.00.

  • Pretty much the gazebo at the entrance and also the beach, however everything is expensive, all the beaches of Maceió that I realized the most abuses of kiosks, including parking lot which is 15 reais, the sea's calm waters.
