Gunga Beach, Roteiro

Celebrated for its extraordinary white sands and exuberant coconut groves, Gunga Beach offers the best of both worlds: a quiet inner beach and a bustling outer beach. The inner reef is quieter with soft white sands, small food and drink vendors, and calm waters. The outer reef is bustling with tourist activity, loud music, raging waves, many waterfront bar restaurants, and small shops selling handmade crafts. Praia do Gunga (Gungas Beach) has unique Maceió south coast positioning surrounded by high cliffs between Lagoa do Roteiro (Roteiro Lake) and the Atlantic Ocean. This gives the waters its signature turquoise color during low tide and its emerald green hue during high tide when the ocean waters meet the waters of the lake.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent equipment to go surfing, windsurfing, and jet skiing, or go on a boat tour beyond the reef. While none of the beaches in Brazil are private, access to this beach is private, but the coconut farm offers vehicle access for a fee. It's easier and more cost effective to get there by boat from Barra de São Miguel or via a tour guide company that transports you by bus or catamaran. • We were today visiting praia do gunga, she is pretty well worth knowing, however the customer service leaves a lot to be desired not to say terrible. We were doing the walk of quadricycle and wanted to give us the worst ATV with the excuse that cranked out by order of numbering did not want to and just exchanged because not to pose no threat to them, the next ride we arrived got the Quad that wanted to push on us and in the middle of the way ruined. The customer service was horrible, crusty, speeding tourists, they just continue to receive tourists because the place is beautiful and all sorts of them is offset by the breathtaking landscapes. We stayed in the tent of the veinha and prices as all there were expensive, we got a beef fillet and chips for 60.00, absurd by the amount that was coming. Finally time to pay the charge the 10% wanted the waiter, as we didn't have a spectacular service we ask to take the value and started talking we were taking the wages of waiter and angry took the value talking to a waiter that was next to no We wanted to pay his salary. We talking to waiter that he received only the cover charge as the box was talking, he looked up their rights because that was not our obligation, the customer gives when he wants to and when do you believe the service was good, at least, that's how I am. People don't get lip of these people, the customer is always right, the place is beautiful but if not improve in attendance will be complicated.

  • The beach is beautiful, it's worth walking in the mirante before descending on the beach, the view is spectacular. There's a lot of structure, the ATV ride is very worthwhile. It's nice and hot. The cliffs are amazing. Beautiful.
