Located in the Centre of Rio Grande-RS, with many attractions, among them stands the monument to Bento Gonçalves, with statues of large bronze lions 02. Mandatory visit to the Rio Grande. Register the site lacks more care.

This is the central square of Rio Grande, is located in the Centre where has all the bus stops around it, very busy, with many shops around. Here are also some camelódromos in the middle of the square.

Unfortunately the place is abandoned, dirty, the few animals that have starved. On the edges of the square is the place where party bus to various districts. Unfortunately, we don't see policing in place and constantly hear comments about robberies as about vandalism and attacks the modesty within the square. Recommend not to cross the square by security.

It looks abandoned by local authorities. There's drunks and indigents and does not seems a safe place to walk aftet dusk.

Where to stay in Rio Grande

The area around the old dock offers the greatest number and variety of accommodations in Rio Grande, with pastel-colored family-owned hotels among the most charming options. Modern stand-alone hotels become more frequent as you step away from the water and the historical dock, with prices varying between them depending on amenities and ocean views. Hostels and guesthouses provide the budget options in this popular part of town. If you're looking to keep the cost down, consider staying at one of the hotels in the largely residential area to the west.
