a nice place to go quiet (less on Sundays) to spend the day with family, ideal water roast and hiking

It's just an island with a road circling the same. Does not have great attractions, only a camping where there is a pond suitable for bath. It's a nice place to go if you are at home with nothing to do but not worth a trip to visit this site. If you're the type without a lot of freshness, I recommend the Geronso's bar, at the entrance of the island. Has a great Crab Cake with very attractive prices. It is necessary to book at least approximately 1 hour in order to circulate the island as it is quite large the road is unpaved ground.

the ilha dos marinheiros could be better exploited as tourist place but not first by lack of options has a very beautiful nature and easy access but the attractions are very few it back across the island and few things and are mostly on the side that is facing rio grande has immense potential but today this practically empty so left the older residents who still live on agriculture because the more young people abandoned for lack of a better future, but still worth going to know by your nature.

Where to stay in Rio Grande

The area around the old dock offers the greatest number and variety of accommodations in Rio Grande, with pastel-colored family-owned hotels among the most charming options. Modern stand-alone hotels become more frequent as you step away from the water and the historical dock, with prices varying between them depending on amenities and ocean views. Hostels and guesthouses provide the budget options in this popular part of town. If you're looking to keep the cost down, consider staying at one of the hotels in the largely residential area to the west.
