  • first TIP: you don't have to go to the beach of peroba trees (dirt road) for the tour. From the city of Rio do fogo the tours are made faster, cheap and practical. 2nd TIP: just walk when the Moon is full or new, that is when the low sea revolves around 0.0 (water in cinnamon) and 0.4 (water at the waist). How much shallower, more water and more beautiful translucency. Before you go see on Google the tides of river of Fire. The apex of the low sea gives only 02 times every 24 hours (one in the morning and another during the day) and usually last a maximum of 1 hour before start filling up slowly. Attention! the agency that leads the tourist has to have the honesty to get him at the right time (an output per day). 3rd TIP: ALWAYS ask the agency or owner of the vessel (in the case of independent tourist) what will be the level of water in the coral reefs for that day and time and remember that, in the shallow end is greater than 0.4, the ride is not worth that day. Fourth TIP: from Rio do fogo, the tour can be done) by speedboat-$ 80.00/person minimum 04 people. For those who go on their own, the hint: the more the cheaper. A friend of mine did this tour by boat with his family, a total of 09 and people was r $50,00/person (after brief crying). b) raft-To me the more authentic, yummy, and adventurer met the coral reefs. And, oddly enough, this tour is safer than on the launch. The price ranges from R$ to R $60.00 30.00/head depending on the amount of people. To give an idea, I did this recently with raft ride more 02 people (total 03 persons) and the walk out by 120.00 R$, i.e. R $40.00/head. In both cases (boat or raft) recommend, for anyone who wants to save doing the tour on your own, call Daniel 9 9173-4485. 5th TIP: a lot of people complain that you don't see many fish. Solution: 1. move away a little of the boats and the agglomeration of people; 2. use the snorkel and float as close as possible to the rocks (or coral reef, with prefer); 3. pulling away a bit, go to the parts that are a little bit deeper, move closer to the rocks and stay floating and watching as quietly as possible; 4. The more you put your foot on the ground (sand revolving), scream, make noise and touch the stones, worse. NOTE: I'm a native of Natal/RN, backpacker and I've done this tour 04 times. I've done the tour de Maracajaú 02 times and in my humble opinion, river of fire (or peroba trees that is the same thing) wins two games.

  • We took the Northeast company VIP. We have been promised a visit to coral reefs with a foothold in a spa. The spa doesn't offer sufficient services to the amount of people. The ride at sea (speedboat), in my opinion, offered some risks. The company has not clarified the safety procedures, either provided flippers or some protection for feet. We arrived in coral reefs and the water was high (beat on my neck) and I have about 6 ' 1. There was a very strong Riptide and had rained 1 hour before the trip. The wind was very strong. We haven't seen a lot of marine life. It was disappointing. Very few species of marine life. I cut my feet on the corals. The equipment supplied was dirty and it was old. I don't recommend the tour. Recommend Maracajau ride. Even if it did, the reports of other people were more positive. Pay 140.00 reais per person in vain.

  • It's a beautiful place, the pools are shallow and the water was crystal clear (low tide and new moon). Interesting coral, some fish (not as many). A little pricey (100 reais per person hired on site). Hard to go without a travel agency: call the day before and hope to be vague; or go to the city (of difficult access road) and look for some native to do the tour. I think they could handle better the independent tourist. The diving is not worth, few fish and variety. Best snorkeling. The restaurants are good.
