Snake-like water slides do S-curves off the side of the hills at Rio Water Planet where the water flows along with the fun. Stroll through the shallow waters to keep cool in the heat, then pick a slide and plummet into the refreshing water in a swirl of spray. There is no outside food or drink allowed in the waterpark, but you can purchase lunch inside. Arrive at opening to avoid the lines. • Pros: great place to spend with family, great swimming pools for all ages, slides from the simplest to the most radical, great security, one of the few options for fun on the river safely. Cons: parking and closet with values somewhat salty, speaking of salty, run dos salgados sold there, a lot of money, little stuffing, raw and expensive the best option is the portion of potatoes with chicken a bird, it's not cheap, it's in the price of any Park. The direction you have to see the way to buy food at the Park, face a queue to put credits on one card, then another line to discount the value of food and another even bigger to get the food, in more advanced parks the person receiving the card on entry passes in time to get the food and pay everything on time out. Some slides are in need of repairs on mending the pipes, especially the most radical. In addition to being released more water, some people get arrested for having a little water on the way down. Tips: in the slides go nylon or polyester shirt, if you're going to stay a few hours it is better to go after lunch, the products sold there are expensive; leave at least 1 hour before the Park closes. Sunday is not one of the best days in this park for those who will have to study or work on Monday because it is a park with many water slides and several swimming pools just becoming very tiresome. Gather family and friends and go in sure you will leave satisfied.

  • The Rio Water Planet declined d +! They announced they had carried out reforms and that there were new toys. What I found was a dropped Park, with problems of cleaning, toys off, shops closed. I was very disappointed with the sorry state of the Park and I don't intend to come back.

  • Good choice of water park in the city of Rio. Although it is a little far from the areas south and North of the city, has easy access by own vehicle or public transport. The attractions are pretty cool. In my case I'm not really extreme toys, but I saw that they were running. My user experience was a little damaged on the attractions of wave pools and lazy river, that do not have buoys, just noodles, like they used to. Also bothers some repression the entry of food and the price of the rent of the closet, but not prevent the enjoyment of the day. Sometimes it's possible to buy into collective buying sites, it is worth spending a sunny day with family or friends.

  • It's a big and beautiful Park with different options to have fun. The food and locker to leave your things are a bit pricey though.
  • Great place for kids, main and adults attractions require too much wait and line and some of them are closed. Even so we enjoy a lot.
  • This park has plenty of good places for kids, highly recommended, if you travel by taxi, arrange for your driver to pick you up as getting a return taxi there is not easy

Where to stay in Rio de Janeiro

Accommodations in Rio de Janeiro cover as diverse a spectrum as the city itself. At the top end, you can find plenty of luxury hotels along the beaches of Zona Sul, the city's southern zone, which includes the renowned Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. For something to suit a budget, but with good beach access, look around the less crowded neighborhoods of Catele and Flamengo. If you want to stay as centrally as possible, without feeling like you're in a business district, look for lodgings in the colorful, bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa.
