Rio Water Planet, Rio de Janeiro

2.6
#1 of 8 in Theme Parks in State of Rio de Janeiro
Snake-like water slides do S-curves off the side of the hills at Rio Water Planet where the water flows along with the fun. Stroll through the shallow waters to keep cool in the heat, then pick a slide and plummet into the refreshing water in a swirl of spray. There is no outside food or drink allowed in the waterpark, but you can purchase lunch inside. Arrive at opening to avoid the lines. • My wife and I love water parks. So, we wanted to visit the site. The Water Planet offers various leisure options, which extends the range of leisure facilities on the River, in addition to the beaches, historic monuments and malls. There are wave pool, water slides, water slides and ride in floats by a wide river, among other options. Don't expect, however, experience similar to the great Hot Park, situated in Rio Quente-GO. This Park seemed and still seems to have the potential to be more than it is, but peca for conservation, by the high prices of most food and above all by the high amount charged for rental of lockers for safekeeping of objects (R $40.00, in December 2017) which is worse : the place where the cabinets is focused was very poorly preserved, with the filthy floor, exuding a horrendous smell, which seemed ancient bus bathroom, unkempt and unwashed for years. I felt sorry for the employee who worked at that location with one of the worst smells that I felt in my life. The Park is fun, worth the visit if you have more time available in the River, especially if you are staying in the bar or on the playground, but need to improve urgent conservation conditions. As I said, could be more than it is, if it was well taken care of. And I hope that the location where the cabinets are to receive a good, extensive and urgent cleanup! The swimming pools and aquatic attractions, go back there, but when I think of the cabinets, I'm not in the mood. Think about it, local administrators. You can improve the conditions and even build a hotel around.

  • I went with some friends to the Park in January and our luck was that we got a promotion in which a ticket of cost 30.00 120.00, because there's nothing in this park that justifies a charge of 120.00. The entire park looks like it's been abandoned, several places bad care, missing water, terrible quality care and rudeness and bad food seem improvised. I'm not going back in that Park and not recommend. If you are unsure whether to go see the other reviews.

  • I made the purchase of tickets by urban fish, paying 34.90 on each ... is very worthwhile, because right in the Park is much more expensive. Parking costs 20.00 and Cabinet 40.00 (absurd). The venue has toilet and shower. The Diners have an affordable cost (23.00 to 30.00) and they accept card. I had the feeling that the Park is a little abandoned, several cafeterias closed, without much apparent maintenance Park, shallow pools, with little water ... you're barefoot in the Park burning his foot, because there's nothing refreshing the floor and stairs. I woke up today with the hot foot and wasn't even figure how nasty, was alternately sultry ... child has to keep a slippers there, if not you can't stand. The water in that pool that goes around the Park was hitting my knee (and I only have 1.56) and no float (just had those noodles). The wave pool almost no water, few buoys and wilted. In addition, there are two toys that just open the 2:00 pm, making it a huge line (it took more than 40 min in each on a Wednesday with empty Park) and if you do not arrive on time can't go until the Park closed. (that buoy great to go with the family and the wild river). Ahhhh Valley signal that you have to climb stairs holding trillions of heavy balls and when he gets up there almost passing out (lol) doesn't have a water cooler. The Park is nice, you can have fun, but never should compare with beach park...se won't be frustrated, because it leaves a lot to be desired, which is a shame, because your structure is very good.

  • It's a big and beautiful Park with different options to have fun. The food and locker to leave your things are a bit pricey though.
  • Great place for kids, main and adults attractions require too much wait and line and some of them are closed. Even so we enjoy a lot.
  • This park has plenty of good places for kids, highly recommended, if you travel by taxi, arrange for your driver to pick you up as getting a return taxi there is not easy
  • Great and Beautiful park

Where to stay in Rio de Janeiro

Accommodations in Rio de Janeiro cover as diverse a spectrum as the city itself. At the top end, you can find plenty of luxury hotels along the beaches of Zona Sul, the city's southern zone, which includes the renowned Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. For something to suit a budget, but with good beach access, look around the less crowded neighborhoods of Catele and Flamengo. If you want to stay as centrally as possible, without feeling like you're in a business district, look for lodgings in the colorful, bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa.
