During the 2016 Olympics, the Olympic Park has received thousands of people and the Organization was excellent, the location, being very spacious, diverse audiences behaved for the most varied events. The space is very big, with a beautiful view of the lagoon.

The Rio de Janeiro Olympic Park is open for visitation, for free. There you can enter with your bike, skateboard, skates and take to exercise or relax in front of the Jacarepaguá Lagoon. The view is great and the atmosphere is a lot of good energy. The Park will soon stage at the rock in Rio 2017 (in September) and you can also see what is developing the space, of course, another SideShow, given your greatness. The only downside is that there are no toilets on site, or drinkers. Are only allowed entries in the arenas in event on the same day and, consequently, the use of bathrooms. Otherwise, there's not much you can do. Still, it's worth visiting this scenario that has witnessed great achievements.

A beautiful Olympic Park with many tourist, a pity only that he almost abandoned is except for the visitors. It is worth to visit him. You can rent apartments there, what was previously inhabited by the climb.

Beautiful, huge place. It's a pity it's almost abandoned and nobody can visit the arenas, only the park. A bit far away from everything but worth the ride.

Built to host the Olympic event consist of a group of venues along a lake side. Open all weekends for walks and bike rides.

Great atmosphere was above this place during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The permanent Venues are incredible and gorgeous. The Park is HUGE, so be prepared to walk like never before when you're here.

The sports and park are great but... there are either no concessions or they close the instant a session finishes. That is fine if there is only a short gap between session s but when there are hours can you please let people get a bite to eat before booting them out?

Where to stay in Rio de Janeiro

Accommodations in Rio de Janeiro cover as diverse a spectrum as the city itself. At the top end, you can find plenty of luxury hotels along the beaches of Zona Sul, the city's southern zone, which includes the renowned Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. For something to suit a budget, but with good beach access, look around the less crowded neighborhoods of Catele and Flamengo. If you want to stay as centrally as possible, without feeling like you're in a business district, look for lodgings in the colorful, bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa.
