Reserva Beach, Rio de Janeiro

4.7
Reserva Beach offers a peaceful setting on white sand lapped by warm blue sea. This beach is popular with surfers and swimmers, but you can also enjoy a day of quiet sunbathing in this secluded spot. The area surrounding the beach is a nature reserve, where you can explore numerous hiking trails though lush vegetation. Along the way stop by a rustic food stall for a taste of authentic Brazilian cuisine, prepared from fresh fish and served hot. The area has several bicycle paths and playgrounds, making this site a favorite of families with small children. Locals recommend several trendy neighborhood restaurants known for their Rodizio-style service, where instead of a menu, an assortment of dishes is brought to the table for picking and choosing. • We were in a most distant and empty. We went during the week, then was still quiet. The impression I got was very good, clean, white sand beach, well-structured kiosks. Beautiful place. Note 10!

  • Not have the same "structure" of the beaches from the Centre but, in addition to beautiful, set to music is much less than the other. The path to reach it's worth being appreciated.

  • I always go right inside. I'm not at the beginning. Go to the part that almost everyone hates. I want peace and quiet. No loud music and noise in the head. Go by car or bike and look for less crowded places, or famous that you won't regret it. The water of the beach is well chilled, but it's kind of mad. Caution with the waves you will enjoy without stress.

  • I thought there would be talking birds here 1 out of 5 stars for no talking animals
  • Nice beach to relax. If you are staying at Barra or Recreio a cycling is a pleasant activity with an awesome view. Sun rise and sun set views are also amazing!
  • few people and nice view
  • Great place to surf
  • Simply one of the best beaches of Rio de Janeiro. Quiet, without people rude, clean sea. Just does not pass bus to get get a UBER, I spent my birthday there ... wonderful.

Where to stay in Rio de Janeiro

Accommodations in Rio de Janeiro cover as diverse a spectrum as the city itself. At the top end, you can find plenty of luxury hotels along the beaches of Zona Sul, the city's southern zone, which includes the renowned Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. For something to suit a budget, but with good beach access, look around the less crowded neighborhoods of Catele and Flamengo. If you want to stay as centrally as possible, without feeling like you're in a business district, look for lodgings in the colorful, bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa.
