  • Hotel with small rooms, but comfortable, good Wi-Fi, strategic location with TRAM and bus, for those who will work in the Center; It is not recommended to leave the evening, the hotel offers lunch and dinner, downside is the restaurant's proximity to the front desk, which creates a mixture of smells arriving.

  • Square with many users of crack. Be careful when walking with cell phones. Very bus flow environment, careful because they don't respect the signal.

  • Piazza, who spent some time ago, by restoration process, cannot be considered an attraction by itself, but by your surroundings, composed of buildings of historical and cultural value, many of them restored and used as centres of culture. Within the square, usually happen cultural and gastronomic events on weekends.

  • This place is very historical, however be careful when visiting. It's not particularly safe at night , but sometimes there are free concerts or other markets on. If there's an event here, then it's a good place to visit.
  • Its absolutely beatifull
  • Some interesting events.
  • Square with history from since the 17th century, it became a historic landmark of the city, originally called Rossio Great, in reference to the Largo do Rossio in Lisbon. It occurred events such as in 1821 the Prince Regent, d. Pedro de Alcântara, swore allegiance to the Portuguese Constitution on the balcony of the Royal Theater St. John (now João Caetano theater), which is why she came to be called Constitution square Acquired your current name in 1890, in honor of 100 years of the implementation of Tiradentes, held nearby in what is now the Municipal College Tiradentes. In your heart lies the equestrian statue of Dom Pedro I, inaugurated in 1862 at the behest of Emperor Pedro II of Brazil. In 1865, the square received four more statues, in classic style, representing the four virtues of modern Nations: justice, freedom, unity and loyalty. In 1872, the "Theatre Franc-brésiliene", current Carlos Gomes theater. Has great movement due to proximity to the commercial area of the Sahara, Real reading Office, and traditional bars and restaurants, museums, hotels and dance like the Estudantina of Samba. Reformed recently won a season of the VLT. More is a place after all to your back, it's a little abandoned, with many homeless, bad smell and many cases of robbery.

  • Square in the center of Rio de Janeiro. When I went to was having a cultural event with music gig. But during the night the atmosphere is a little hostile and you must always be careful and stay alert to burglaries and petty theft. The environment around there's plenty of beggars and homeless people. But this is common in any Center of Brazil.

Where to stay in Rio de Janeiro

Accommodations in Rio de Janeiro cover as diverse a spectrum as the city itself. At the top end, you can find plenty of luxury hotels along the beaches of Zona Sul, the city's southern zone, which includes the renowned Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. For something to suit a budget, but with good beach access, look around the less crowded neighborhoods of Catele and Flamengo. If you want to stay as centrally as possible, without feeling like you're in a business district, look for lodgings in the colorful, bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa.
