My first night and Trina couldn't be a most amazing place! We arrived at 4:24 in Barra de Guaratiba. So we were able to stop the car without paying a fortune. And we started up in the urban area. We were a little lost because we can't see the carcass of the car and the beginning of the trail, but anything hopeless. We were up and we took about 1:00. We got 5:45 up there, on the stone anvil. It takes the name mistakenly Telegraph. When he started dawn, has already begun to form the naughty queue. Downstairs we saw the 5 wild beaches and as the Sun come out more amazing was the experience. We had no desire to go down. But began to arrive a lot of people and we need to get back. The 9:00 rose a group of approximately 30 people, so if you don't want hassles or face line, the trick is to see the sunrise or the sunset. PS: many fireflies on the trail < 3

It took me and my wife about 33 min to complete the hike. We took the Church stairs and up. There are signs. Parking can be a bit complicated unless you get there before 7:30am. This hike became very ...  more »

The hike starts off steep but once you catch your breathe, it's not too difficult. It is a safe path where there's no ledge to fall over while hiking. The view is gorgeous when you get to the top. Tip: Go early to avoid the strong sun even though most of the trail is shaded. The line for pictures can be longer than the actual hike if you don't do early.

I went up there in July at 5 o'clock in the morning to see the sun rise. Absolutely worth it! Amazing view! The climb up there is really not that bad. Let me put it this way. We saw a 60 year old couple do the walk. So if you can't, then maybe it's you and not the walk who's in bad shape. ;) No seriously, it can be a little bit challenging when wet, but hey that's nature/adventure. Right?

Went up there many times, and amazing view and an amazing time I had with my wife. Would recommend 10 out of 10 times. See it in my Instagram @VINIBOMZ

Where to stay in Rio de Janeiro

Accommodations in Rio de Janeiro cover as diverse a spectrum as the city itself. At the top end, you can find plenty of luxury hotels along the beaches of Zona Sul, the city's southern zone, which includes the renowned Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. For something to suit a budget, but with good beach access, look around the less crowded neighborhoods of Catele and Flamengo. If you want to stay as centrally as possible, without feeling like you're in a business district, look for lodgings in the colorful, bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa.
