  • The girl from Ipanema Park is on the left near the Arpoador beach. Went through renovations recently and got better and safer.

  • The space is abandoned, the path is not easy for a stroller or reduced mobility. The Striker, which, coupled with investment and maintenance, could make the wonderful site. Today works more like access to Arpoador even.

  • 24/05-national day of Gypsy-my soul is Gypsy ... The goal is to celebrate and give visibility to the Customs and beliefs and making a plea for unity between all peoples and religions. The party is held at the municipal park Garota de Ipanema, Arpoador, which became the reference to the Roma community when, in 2003, was seated at the place an image of the Patron Saint to celebrate the traditional festival of music, dance, reading hands, Gypsy deck, gastronomy, d distribution of rolls and wine Gypsy Gypsy's blessing. Is the crusade for world peace, an event held for 17 years on the date of the universal patroness of the Roma people, Santa Sara Kali. A great opportunity to get to know a little more of this rich culture.  Remembering that every month on day 24 also occurs in the Gypsy celebration. To enter the event you pay nothing, Only what you are consuming everything is beautiful, done with so much love, a mystery in the air and people fraternizing. I can't explain in words, just going and feeling. You are blessed with the salt, with the bread and with gold. OPCH!!!!!

  • I don`t think this park connects to Copacabana if you head east, we tried meandering through just before sunset and it got a bit sketchy, there were hardly any people once you climbed up the path a bit and you started feeling less than 100% comfortable. At the bottom of the park near the gates there is an area for people to perform and much busier and that was ok but I would not really wonder around the park too far.
  • Ok space, but very sketchy at night. Lots of trash, construction debris, nonfunctional lights, stray cats, and loose dogs.
  • Cute locals park leading to Arporador, the best place to watch the sunset in Rio. It's got trees and shade for summer, and often vendors selling drinks for cheap. There's a small playground, blacktop (where street performers often meet and practice standing on stilts, etc.) and grassy area. It's fenced off but has openings for the beach access, so tends to feel a little more closed off and safe. It has the best access to Arporador, leading you straight to the rock to go see the sunset. Or, turn the corner and you'll head back to Ipanema.
  • Nice park. Pretty scary when it gets dark
  • Great view and nice place to hangout.
