  • It's an interesting space. Formerly an area belonging to the Copacabana Fort, and there were installed workshops and garage of military vehicles. For a time, in front of Arpoador Beach, was a village with eight houses, where lived sergeants and Sub Lieutenants of the Fort. Next was the maintenance Department of the Ministry of war. It was in front of the current Park that began surfing in Brazil, moving from shortboards Oceania, by madeirits and then to the fiber boards.

  • The girl from Ipanema Park is on the left near the Arpoador beach. Went through renovations recently and got better and safer.

  • The space is abandoned, the path is not easy for a stroller or reduced mobility. The Striker, which, coupled with investment and maintenance, could make the wonderful site. Today works more like access to Arpoador even.

  • I don`t think this park connects to Copacabana if you head east, we tried meandering through just before sunset and it got a bit sketchy, there were hardly any people once you climbed up the path a bit and you started feeling less than 100% comfortable. At the bottom of the park near the gates there is an area for people to perform and much busier and that was ok but I would not really wonder around the park too far.
  • Ok space, but very sketchy at night. Lots of trash, construction debris, nonfunctional lights, stray cats, and loose dogs.
  • Cute locals park leading to Arporador, the best place to watch the sunset in Rio. It's got trees and shade for summer, and often vendors selling drinks for cheap. There's a small playground, blacktop (where street performers often meet and practice standing on stilts, etc.) and grassy area. It's fenced off but has openings for the beach access, so tends to feel a little more closed off and safe. It has the best access to Arporador, leading you straight to the rock to go see the sunset. Or, turn the corner and you'll head back to Ipanema.
  • Nice park. Pretty scary when it gets dark
  • Great view and nice place to hangout.
