  • How wonderful to know this little bit of Rio de Janeiro. Surrounded by beauties everywhere the MAM has an intriguing collection and travelling exhibitions not to be missed. Be sure to visit.

  • Modernist architecture was designed by Affonso Eduardo Reidy. The place is spacious and airy. The exhibitions at the site, are for those who appreciate modern art.

  • For those coming from outside of the city of Rio de Janeiro, notably at Santos Dumont Airport, the MAM is a good indication. Its architecture is sensational, one of the greatest examples of modernist architecture, design of Affonso Eduardo Reidy. Want an example of functionality? Note that under his own Museum there is shadow and constant wind, refuge in the infernal heat. Inside the Museum, as well as on its facade, can be admired traits of modernism, something revolutionary in their time. The local infrastructure is good, superior to the most visited museums in the city. With respect to the content, it is important to note that it is not "for all kinds of taste". Some exhibitions are provocative, others seem frivolous in the eyes of people more "serious and rational", making the experience becomes frustrating. Soon, worth taking a look at the website before to not be disappointed. Anyway, for those who love art and architecture in General is an excellent visit. In time, the entry cost real 14 and it's good to keep an eye on timetables.
