  • From Ipanema beach to see these two beautiful hills, at sunset the view is even more wonderful. I intend to do this trail on the next vacation.

  • The panorama included travel the bike lane of Ipanema-Leblon and enjoy the sunset and watch as the Sun disappears behind these two peaks, creating a wonderful and very romantic view.

  • We drove up to the point where the trail begins and not advise. The streets are very narrow and we caught some traffic jams that only the Brazilian way to give way. And there are many bikes that spring from everywhere, so don't be tense with your car, take a bike or combi there at the entrance of the Vidigal. Although I have made several stops to rest, the trail is very quiet, there is no very hard. The reward at the end is the beautiful view that yields a lot of pictures. It's worth the climb!

  • The place is really nice. We went for a walk a Saturday mornings and we got an amazing view of part of Rio, and also we were able to see some wild animals and some nature just at a walking distance from the city. It is very surprising that we were the only ones there, in such a beautiful park a Sunday morning. It is more than ideal for a run or a walk.
  • To go there just take moto taxi to the start of the trail, ask for: entrada para trilha, and you do not need e guide. Entrance is at the left side of the sport area, and it's marked on the maps. Route itself it's about 40 minutes, not very difficult trail. Good luck and stay far away from the edges of the rocks. To go back you can safely take the moto taxi again.
  • Amazing views of the city and surrounding mountains, track could be a bit slippery and hard to find (you walk up some stairs and behind someone's house before heading into the bush). Best to take a mototaxi to the top of the favela.
  • Best short walk ever. I advise you enjoy a party at Alto Vidigal and then leave the place 1:30 before the sun rise. You get to ask for the beginning of the path but then it's really easy. Avoid the flip flops though, the walk is 30mns going fast
  • I recommend to everyone to watch the sunrise at the top. Be ready for the 40 minutes trekking and enjoy the stunning view of Rio de Janeiro.
