  • The gazebo is quite beautiful and has a view to Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, in addition to offering a different point of view of the sugar loaf. Have a penqueno playground for children and a huge Brazil flag right in the Center. I think it's worth the visit, but the ideal is to combine the trip with other nearby destinations.

  • I suggest that you visit during the day. Great place to watch the beautiful scenery of the RJ as Botafogo Beach, Sugar Loaf, Rio Sul shopping mall.. There is parking, but no on-site policing

  • It is not so popular but looks a cute picture of the bread. You have to climb a little down a winding street. It can be by taxi even though it is not a difficult walk.

  • This is an OK spot to enjoy views of Rio though the views would be even better if the trees were trimmed back a bit, so don't go out of your way to visit. Most charming is the abundance of local cats just lounging around and looking for attention (don't worry, I was told the cats are well-cared for). With a playground and lots of benches, this is a great place for a picnic.
  • Nice view, but be extremely careful! I was assaulted there by 2 gun men.
  • Spectacular view of Botafogo bay. Good place to organize a picnic. However there is no other possible activities.
  • Worth the walk. Safe. Start in front of the Casa Daros and go up the slope. No steps, just a road with little and slow traffic by other visitors. Great view on the bay. For free! The tunnel under the hill is also suitable for a shortcut and safe.
  • Astonishing view.
