  • The trail is pretty quiet and well signposted. It is interesting to take sunscreen, insect repellent, water and some snacks. On average it takes 30 minutes to perform the ascent which is of moderate intensity.

  • The trail to the Lookout is within the APA Grumari. It's free, has toilets, showers, guards, children's toys, the trail is well-marked, easy, without difficulty and the beautiful view. Recommend to who is starting on the trails of the river. The good thing is that after I can stretch on the beach which is in front!

  • The Caeté lookout is the type of sightseeing to do in sunny days, because on the beach! The track is super quiet to do, takes around 40 minutes and you have a lovely view lookout. After you went down the track can take advantage of the beach in front (little Beach) or you can venture through the other beaches. To get there you can take the BRT and down on Recreational Shopping station and walk, is a considerable hike to get to Parque da Prainha, by the way has the Secret Beach, mirante do Roncador ... that is by car parking, but beware the weekends gets filled , so get there early!

Where to stay in Rio de Janeiro

Accommodations in Rio de Janeiro cover as diverse a spectrum as the city itself. At the top end, you can find plenty of luxury hotels along the beaches of Zona Sul, the city's southern zone, which includes the renowned Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. For something to suit a budget, but with good beach access, look around the less crowded neighborhoods of Catele and Flamengo. If you want to stay as centrally as possible, without feeling like you're in a business district, look for lodgings in the colorful, bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa.
