  • When I left the station to take the elevator, I realized that it was banned. Ask for information to a subway security and he said that I should go to the lookout, I should access the stairs next to outside of the station. These stairs are the same up to the community. So far no problems, to why on the internet said the community was pacified. Only when I got to the top of the stairs, there were several men closing the path. They asked me many questions and ordered me to lift my shirt to check if I was armed. There were tense moments as I don't recall ever having lived through something like that. The fact is, there was a crack House on site and the gazebo was supposedly closed according to them. After many questions I was finally released. But when you get down there was a man who seemed to be waiting for me on the way down the staircase. He asked me for money with the argument that the next day would take me in the gazebo. Of course I gave her the money and never come back. Nightmare. Do not recommend to anyone!

  • This viewpoint is located one block from the General Osório square, two blocks from Ipanema beach. It has excellent views of the entire area but fundamentally meets a social function since it is used by people from the Community (favela) to reach their homes by what is really peace. An excellent idea of integration. Very good experience. Regalame your vote

  • Abandoned. Has a specific output of the subway, which provides access to an elevator, which is poorly maintained. It's the same elevator that the community uses to access to the Hill. Look abandoned. Have a beautiful view, but lack of guidance how to get there, don't you employees in the gazebo. Feeling of insecurity, despite the peaceful community.

Where to stay in Rio de Janeiro

Accommodations in Rio de Janeiro cover as diverse a spectrum as the city itself. At the top end, you can find plenty of luxury hotels along the beaches of Zona Sul, the city's southern zone, which includes the renowned Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. For something to suit a budget, but with good beach access, look around the less crowded neighborhoods of Catele and Flamengo. If you want to stay as centrally as possible, without feeling like you're in a business district, look for lodgings in the colorful, bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa.
