  • Disabled for many, many years, fiscal island and its constructions remain as a kind of Museum style, I think it's excessive and aggressive Empire in their attempts of architectural solutions and esteticas. Was the scene of a big party on the occasion of the visit of a Chilean vessel in the port of Rio of January, this being the last offered by royalty before the proclamation of the Republic. The desenbarque in your dock causes a feeling insolita, because everything is rock, it's all desert, and everything is strange. After all, a trip to the place is a unique experience

  • I visited the island during the day children's tax, the ride was too quick, because usually leave three tours to the island, but in children's day had six rides! But as long as you remain on the island gave to appreciate every detail (more or less 1 hour and a half). The Castle has beautiful architecture on the outside, after all it was built to be a tourist spot in the River, dubbed the brazilian crown jewel. But it is not a very large Castle, your greatest beauty is outside, because it was built to impress the visit Dr. In addition to the beauty of the outside is unacceptable to visit the island and do not enjoy the stained glass, especially the stained glass with your Majesty, Dom Pedro II. Finishing the beauty of the castle is more on the outside than on the inside, inside the Museum there is a room with fixed exposure and a dedicated to temporary exhibitions, in addition to a huge Hall where sometimes there are exhibitions and sometimes, when I visited this lounge was being used for recreation children, after all it was children's day.

  • Our local guide gave us information that I didn't know about. Imagined be the island, a paradise island at the time of the Empire, but through the information received, saw that the reality was another. Interesting! It is worth to go and check it out!

Where to stay in Rio de Janeiro

Accommodations in Rio de Janeiro cover as diverse a spectrum as the city itself. At the top end, you can find plenty of luxury hotels along the beaches of Zona Sul, the city's southern zone, which includes the renowned Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. For something to suit a budget, but with good beach access, look around the less crowded neighborhoods of Catele and Flamengo. If you want to stay as centrally as possible, without feeling like you're in a business district, look for lodgings in the colorful, bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa.
