  • This " fairy tales Castle" sleeping on a small artificial island, just in front of the Museo do Amanha in the Guanabara bay of Rio, it's a hidden gem, that has to be seen. It 's now property of the Na...  more »
  • I was expecting a lot more. The island was last homecoming address Fiscal of the Empire, but was not a party place. You know when you have a company party, put the furniture all over and is it happens? So... The last prom, despite all the pomp, occurred in the same way. Therefore, it was expected that there was no furniture in the party, for example, but I found the ride very poor. It is announced that it takes 1 hour and a half, I think, but, after landing (although nowadays, Fiscal island is connected to Earth, the access to the tour is by boat, as in the old days), visitors spend about 15 minutes in a room where there is a Panel on the ball, and 15 more minutes in another , admiring the architecture. The other rooms are closed to visitation and during the rest of the time people just walk by outside while battling pictures. Why not make a fixed exposure about the dance, cause for curiosity, I believe, the majority of visitors? I bet most people don't know anything about the amount of food served, for example (were 500 turkeys, pheasants, chickens, 1,300 64 3000 soups, 800 kg of shrimp, lobster, cans 800 400 varied salads, ham, gelatin, 600 300 20000 sandwiches and ice cream served by waiters 150 14000), other details that enrich the ride. In the other room, why not a show about the historical period and how the Republic was proclaimed (6 days after the dance)? Could improve a lot!

  • You know that place we always say you want to go? Oh the island tax ... Everyone who crosses the baia de Guanabara already mentioned that one day will meet you. Well ... Since 02/2017 the ride was again made of schooner (for a period was being made of van). I'm not going to opine on the schooner because I went from van and I loved it, I think that soon got better. I went 2 times and the visit was guided by different tabs. Interesting is that with each one of them you learn something different. The visit is very enjoyable. You learn a lot! It is worth climbing the staircase to the tower. And in the end ... nothing like sitting on stools in front of the island and stay facing the baia de guanabara ... the whole island is a guarantee of great photos. On site there is a snack bar and bathroom open to visitors. The box office is at Centro Cultural da Marinha. Easily accessible location, between the ferries on praça XV and the Museum of tomorrow. In 02/2017 the whole entry cost 25 dollars. Children, the elderly and public servants of any local authority pay half.

  • Wow such a wonder the Emperor as “one dedicated case, worthy for a shiny jewel.” The building Ilha Fiscal was inaugurated at the begins of 1889 by the Emperor. Among the attractives it stands out the lounges that houses temporal and permanents expositions that reveals the history of the Marine and the island, a collection of stained glass and stoneworks, columns, arches, flowers and imperial symbols
  • It is an important place of Brazil history. Only 3 guided visits per day at 12:10, 14:30 and 15:30. Actually going by small boat to the island. Unfortunately this is not possible to visit the submarine for the moment.
  • Nice, guides are full of enthusiasm. Nice view on Rio. Bookings at the Museu Naval start at 11a.m. and can only be done for the same day.
  • vista bonita a partir da região e, desdobramento cultural igual.
  • Muita história neste lugar
