  • The historic church is at the top of a monolithic stone, with an altitude that allows a view in 360 •, to see the Ocean (Barra da Tijuca) far in the background, has access by car or by an elevator (inclined plane), with access by the Church of Loreto, historical, which is too low.

  • The path to the Church is for a very old road, made by slaves. You can tell that he has recently been extended because of different stones. It is a very steep climb and not just any car that comes to the Church. Up walking is already a penance. Suggest going by car or take a cable car. I don't know if it's paid. For the wheelchair users there is an elevator next to the Church. One floor only. The view from the top is amazing. Was placed an awning in front of the Church. If on the one hand it provides a great shadow, on the other he prevents the vision of her facade. The Church is small, but very pretty. Should fit just over 50 people. There are beautiful paintings and the ceiling is painted with sacred images. If not attending mass, the visit lasts for about 20 minutes at most, but peace upstairs compensates for the rise.

  • A boy slave lost the cow, your Lord promised flogged without mercy if he didn't find. In your affliction asked Virgin protection and was attended, our Lady showed where the ground. The farmer built a church and alforriou the slave.

  • After they put the vehicle on Rails facilitated very access to the location from where you have a panoramic view of the parish and nearby neighborhoods.

  • The Church is great and the location can't be "exploited by tourism" because it is a church.

Where to stay in Rio de Janeiro

Accommodations in Rio de Janeiro cover as diverse a spectrum as the city itself. At the top end, you can find plenty of luxury hotels along the beaches of Zona Sul, the city's southern zone, which includes the renowned Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. For something to suit a budget, but with good beach access, look around the less crowded neighborhoods of Catele and Flamengo. If you want to stay as centrally as possible, without feeling like you're in a business district, look for lodgings in the colorful, bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa.
