  • 'M carioca, but can't get enough of me enchanted with the beauty of the city of Rio de Janeiro. The Praça XV is always a place to admire the edge of town and spend pleasant hours visiting the museums around the fairs and doing really cool photos!

  • The traditional antiques fair of Praça XV, that indicator on Saturdays in the morning, is an excellent asked to those who want to stroll outdoors, learn a little about the past or buy some "trinkets". Although it has gone through a period in which prices were always very high, currently come to realize more available to the exhibitors to sell their goods-ferecem less abusive prices and are willing to negotiate.

  • Find a bit of Europe in this area of downtown Rio de Janeiro. The architectural, security and cleaning, make this a very peculiar place amidst the chaos of the city.

  • I thought it was unfair to the guys who probably paid to have your tent on site, last Saturday (18/11/2017) on the passage of people leaving the ferry toward to the fair, several street vendors, and the worst, fight between 3 women, one wanting the other hair play even close to Fountain, a death may occur within the fair does not have supervision, don't shy away the illegal trade, I wouldn't recommend the known and relatives by the lack of security and oversight of who promotes the fair.

  • One of the major antique fairs of Rio de Janeiro is the Praça XV downtown.  Its beginning dates back to the 70 years and in that time she worked through barter. The fair brings together more than 350 official tents and is considered the largest Antiques Fair of Latin America, running from 8:00 to 2:00 pm, every Saturday. There I found several toys that were part of my childhood.

Where to stay in Rio de Janeiro

Accommodations in Rio de Janeiro cover as diverse a spectrum as the city itself. At the top end, you can find plenty of luxury hotels along the beaches of Zona Sul, the city's southern zone, which includes the renowned Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. For something to suit a budget, but with good beach access, look around the less crowded neighborhoods of Catele and Flamengo. If you want to stay as centrally as possible, without feeling like you're in a business district, look for lodgings in the colorful, bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa.
