  • It was a Sunday Sun, very hot ... the helicopter is available, but to visit the submarine and the ship is required to pay admission costs 10.00. People with reduced mobility or wheelchair users are unable to carry out the visit. There is a promenade with timetables set, which lasts about 1.30 h, but we didn't, because it was already late.

  • The Cultural Space of the Navy of Brazil is located in the Centre of the city of Rio de Janeiro. It's a place that has a little of the history of Brazil. There is: • A Ship of discovery, a replica of the Portuguese ships that were used at the time they found the Brazil. It was built to commemorate the 500 years; • A submarine which is also a museum with lots of historical information; • A naval aviation helicopter and a tank. • In addition to these attractions, you can also take a tour to the island where Tax has a small castle, transformed into a Museum and in this castle was the last ball of the Empire. The day I was there, I just wasn't in the Castle, but I intend to come back another day, because who was says it is beautiful and worth. This cultural space, is close to the ferry station at Praça XV and this season has the famous fountain of the pyramid which was built by master Valentim. This fountain provided water and was the site where the Portuguese landed upon arriving in Rio de Janeiro for the first time.
