Copacabana Fair, Rio de Janeiro

(3.1/5 based on 280+ reviews on the web)
Handmade goods and souvenirs abound at Copacabana Fair, the best place to buy gifts for family and friends. The vendors are willing to bargain with you so you can really get away with paying much less than at other shops. Very close to the beach itself, it is the perfect place to experience a little more of the neighborhood spirit and its people. Chat with the vendors themselves and even learn to play instruments typical to the samba. To visit Copacabana Fair on your trip to Rio de Janeiro, use our Rio de Janeiro holiday planner.

  • After a walk on the famous sidewalk of Copacabana, a nice thing to do is stop at the handicraft market of Copacabana, with sale of beachwear and souvenir, with popular prices. I can buy enough souvenir, has good range and also traders negotiate the value if you buy more than one piece.

  • I don't live in Rio de janeiro, but I'm constantly there and know very well the neighborhood of Copacabana. to read people's comments about the Copacabana realized that there is confusion between trade fairs. This site finds this fair on the corner of AV. Atlantica with the street Republic of Peru (between 2 and 3 posts), but many people confuse and post comments for the craft fair of Copacabana located at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Rua Miguel Lemos (among the posts 4 and 5). I find this better than the first, but this only works at night and Monday through Saturday. It's great to buy souvenirs and strolling alone or accompanied. I recommend you don't take very young children (up to 8 years).

  • I was recently at the Copacabana located in front of the beach near Av Princesa Isabel. The fair has several stalls with crafts, memories of the River, art objects made in stone, bjouterias. Interesting ride for those who like to craft fairs.
