Central do Brasil, Rio de Janeiro
(1.4/5 based on 50+ reviews on the web)
Central do Brasil is the most important train station in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro. It is the last stop of Rio's railway network, as well as a hub for connection with the city subway and a bus station. Central do Brasil is also a preeminent stop in the inter-state Central do Brasil railroad, which links Rio de Janeiro with São Paulo and Minas Gerais, though the railroad is now practically deactivated. The station is located in downtown Rio de Janeiro, along the Avenida Presidente Vargas and across from the Campo de Santana park.

  • From a distance, looking at the Tower, one cannot say that this station. At the bottom of the station itself. Comfortable, functional. Many passengers, departing to the suburbs, or, if it is convenient, in separate parts of the city. Hence, vanity, as everywhere.

  • Highley recommend walking in he center of the city , great architecture , clean , good transport alternatives , both metro and VLP
  • We went to the station to catch a train into the Engenhão. This is a beautiful station, worth a visit for those who like architecture. However, the great movement disturbs some those who wish to only enjoy the beauty of the place.
