Casa do Pontal Museum, Rio de Janeiro
(4.4/5 based on 80+ reviews on the web)
Situated in a leafy, verdant grove, the evocatively tropical exterior of the Casa do Pontal Museum provides an aesthetic as sumptuous as the interior. A facility specializing in Folk Art, the museum’s collection of more than 8,000 sculptures and models--mainly collated by French designer Jacques Van de Beuque-- is representative of both rural and urban Brazilian cultures. • The Museum is very interesting, with exhibitions of Brazilian folklore, brazilian popular culture in perfect parts with minimal details. Guided visitation Sung is the best part!

  • The Museum is far for those who live in the South but the way. It's a very interesting summary of brazilian culture, the result of 40 years of collecting stuff. Additionally the House is beautiful!

  • Not necessarily the most beautiful Museum of Rio, a bit old and not very lively, but there are some beautiful pieces with lots of inspiration and originality on the floor, at the end of the course. In the end this gives another idea of Brazilian handicrafts. Bar / snack at the output and a small shop with a few beautiful products (sculptures, fabrics...). See a rainy day!

  • Maravilhoso
