  • Unfortunately, it is opposite the Central and next to the Souza Aguiar hospital, two positions traditionally frequented by low-income people. You may not realize it, but the audience that frequents consists of unoccupied, vidave women beggars, which makes the place, although beautiful, very dangerous.

  • The site offers lots of green, small animals such as agoutis are freely among peacocks, loved the location, ample shade, benches to sit and think about life on a busy afternoon, all right, closes 16 hours.

  • One of the big green areas of downtown Rio de Janeiro, inhabited by hundreds of wild animals (and cats), with pleasant corners and sumptuous vegetation. Would be a perfect place to relax-but that's almost impossible in almost all public areas of the city,

  • It is a beautiful green space and has a bunch of creatures like cats, cotias (small rodents that look like capybaras) and ducks. The trees make this place a bit shady and its not the safest place to take photos. Overall it would be a great place to have a picnic if security was not a problem but it is still a nice place to walk through.
  • It's like a small paradise in the middle of downtown Rio. There are several animals, like cats, ducks and peacocks. Most trees are really big and old. However there are many homeless people and it's not safe.
  • Beautiful place but it needs more attention especially on the little animals that lives there.
  • Nice place to walk around and relax with family. My children loved the birds and animals. Beautiful trees throughout.
  • Ok

Where to stay in Rio de Janeiro

Accommodations in Rio de Janeiro cover as diverse a spectrum as the city itself. At the top end, you can find plenty of luxury hotels along the beaches of Zona Sul, the city's southern zone, which includes the renowned Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. For something to suit a budget, but with good beach access, look around the less crowded neighborhoods of Catele and Flamengo. If you want to stay as centrally as possible, without feeling like you're in a business district, look for lodgings in the colorful, bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa.
