Ostras River, Rio das Ostras
(4/5 based on 380 reviews on the web)
Also known as the “City of Jazz”, Ostras River is a fast growing city with a lot to offer its visitors. With solid infrastructure in place to receive tourists, the city has many good hotels, inns, and restaurants. The many beaches are great for swimming, surfing, kite surfing, and the calmer beaches are perfect for the children. Check out the attractions like Whale Square, where there is a bronze humpback whale statue, Tocolândia for local crafts and souvenirs, and the River Oysters Jazz & Blues Fest. If you prefer not to drive, there are several vans which circulate along the beach path to the city center, making it really convenient to take in the entire city. Ostras River is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Rio das Ostras Edition.

  • In the city centre has a good square with a lot of movement and broad trade, restaurants, pizzerias, hostels, beaches, road and etc. On the Riviera great beach with many restaurants, Inns and the whale square to take pictures and tocolândia, to enjoy the goodies.

  • The city is without doubt the most urbanized and developed in the region of the Lakes, but the beaches are not good. In my opinion only worth visiting the town to go to the Festival of Jazz & Blues. For bath only recommend the lagoon Iriry Lagoon (coca cola).

  • We were coming back from Buzios and following to the mountainous region of the River, the quick stop to meet Rio das Ostras. Edge very beautiful, blue sea but was shaky.
