  • has fine sand and extension aguas mansas and clean. HA good infrastructure and fishmongers. more private beach location of the Centre, although extremely close

  • Is one of the quieter beaches of the city but the water is cloudy due to the mouth of the river. It's good for kids to have fun as long as the water is dirty.

  • Soon after, Centre beach is known for the tranquility of its waters. From there, you can see the best sunset of Rio das Ostras. It has kiosks and good infrastructure. Perfect for shower, children will love.

Where to stay in Rio das Ostras

As a growing seaside resort destination, Rio das Ostras features a blend of old and new, glitzy and down-to-earth in terms of places to stay. The majority of the city's larger hotels and more glamorous resort-style accommodations lie within a few blocks of the main beaches, and the area along the Praia Costa Azul features a particular concentration. As you might imagine, many hotels charge extra for an ocean view, so consider requesting a room without one to save a bit on lodging. As is the case throughout Brazil, you'll find plenty of "pousadas"--something like independently run, small-scale hotels, bed and breakfasts, and guesthouses--scattered around town, which often make solid budget options.
