Parque da Maternidade, Rio Branco

#1 of 6 in Parks in State of Acre
An urban park with open spaces for jogging and sports, Parque da Maternidade is a green getaway in the middle of the city. Many city dwellers visit the park after working hours for a quick jog or a football game with friends. Often you'll find these same locals filling the bars that surround the park later in the evening. Look for a place called "Bob's" located just outside the park. This is a good watering hole after a long saunter through the city's green space. Parque da Maternidade is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, Rio Branco Edition.

Extremely dangerous place to walk in the night, but very beautiful, there are several good restaurants and bars on site, playgrounds and walking track. I recommend always go in groups and not walk at night.

Maternity Park has a great extension, very good to practice physical activities or even a walk with the family.

Where to stay in Rio Branco

The city lacks budget-friendly hostels but makes up for it in relatively affordable hotels. Look in the Rodoviaria area for the best selection. Most accommodations will include WiFi, but double check with the site you're interested in if that’s important to you. A few places offer free breakfast, so you can save your money for sightseeing.
