Situated on the city’s main plaza, Memorial dos Autonomistas is home to a permanent exhibition honoring Acre’s battle for statehood. This memorial is also the burial place of José Guiomard dos Santos, an important federal administrator who helped pass legislation giving Acre its statehood.     Very well situated, next to the Legislative Assembly. with a good level of security. and full of restaurant in the vicinity.

    The Memorial of the Autonomists is located in the city center very close to other tourist points of Rio Branco. There's always a local display, worth a visit and take pictures at the site.
