Municipal Market, Ribeirao Preto

(3.4/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
The large Vs along the front facade of Municipal Market going up to a series of rounded bumps look like of a series of concrete ice-cream cones standing side by side. It's the market's interior, though, that will really whet your appetite. Here you'll find a cornucopia of delectable local treats, with colorful and aromatic fruits, spices, and flowers creating a feast for your eyes and nose. You can also shop for meat, dairy, cheese, pastries, and handicrafts, among other products. If you're not in the mood to cook for yourself, have someone at one of the food stalls whip up a local specialty for you. Air conditioning also makes Municipal Market an excellent respite on hot and humid days. Take a look at our Ribeirao Preto vacation trip planner to schedule your visit to Municipal Market and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • This is a good market with numerous purchase options, when it comes to condiments cold and there are excellent choices; also a quick snack for lunch, with good options of sandwiches and pastries. Also there are nice shops to purchase footwear and handicrafts.
