  • I came back a few days ago to this courtyard and the met life. The stage is still mounted on the input side, which shows there is a schedule for shows. The bars and restaurants are small businesses, with a few tables and located in the toppled houses around the square. At night it is not recommended for bringing dangerous frequency of drunk and unemployed.

  • PATIO DE SAO PEDRO Plaza surrounded by old houses and streets of irregular stones of the 19TH century, is one of the places where better preserves the tradition of the colonial period. Two clerics here is the imposing Cathedral of São Pedro. The 29 colonial houses of the environment, of one or two plants, were expropriated in 1970 and evicted for reclamation, opening as a tourist attraction. Currently in them work ateliers of artists and Bohemians, bars, restaurants, crowded stores during the nights of Friday and Saturday. In the Decade of the ' 80 intellectual and professional is installed here to create what is called the "generation of the playground". Many artists such as Alberto de Cunha Melo, Luis Gonzaga, Dorival Caymmi and others, were some of those who regularly visited this place. The "black Tuesday" is a musical and dance related to the Afro-Brazilian culture. Although it is said that in the House N ° 21 operates the Memorial Chico Science, in the House N ° 35 Memorial Luis Gonzaga, called the King of the baión and in the House N ° 11 is the Museum of folk art with works of Mestre Vitalino, none of them has a reference. They say that all work from Monday to Friday from 9 to 17 hours
