  • A very nice, lots of information, many works of renowned artists and mainly, a space well distributed, making the visit interesting and dynamic. As art is priceless, I dare not give opinion on this, but if I could it would take several works.

  • The surprise workshop, is a fantastic place (but get there early to take advantage of and it won't melt in the Sun). There you can see the work of artist, since his sculptures, his paintings and then take a quick stop at the bistro to get something to eat. The sculptures are in the inner part of the workshop, as foreign and also has a sort of garden with several pieces. Another attraction are the frames. Worth the visit. Tip: the site is well away and that day may make a "neat" visit the workshop and the instituto Brennand which are located in the region of the Valley. To get in the shop taking a taxi or uber and let scheduled your back, because it's hard to get a uber available in the region. But the box office they can also call the taxi, will only have to wait a little bit.

  • Regardless I've known or not the instituto Ricardo Brennand, which is exceptional, the workshop is a little frustrating. The ticket is expensive (R-$20.00) to what is presented. The sculptures are quite different, with a well tended, sexuality characteristic of the sculptor. If there was a place where it was possible to see the production process/creation of sculptures or ceramics that are sold as craft, or if it were possible to participate in it, certainly the ride would be better.

  • Exceptional! The location seems surreal and the composition of art, architecture and landscape is stunning. Don't miss the sketches and paintings, they are of excellent quality and show the diversity of Brennands work. The idea to show so many works of a single artist in a place designed and developed by himself creates an unique atmosphere. Visiting this place felt like diving into another world... definitive a must-visit in Recife!
  • It was excellent. The place is beautiful, the pieces will challenge your imagination and I got to see Francisco Brennand while at the museum. He was very nice and gentle, explained a little about his work, influences, just amazing.
  • Those art works of Brennand reminded me of Antonio Gaudi as they expressed human essential instincts and desires, in supernatural ways. This museum is just like a theme park and it has a lot of mysterious objects including the temple surrounded by water and a construction reminiscent of ancient Roman baths. It has a nice café. But this site is located in the forest of an isolated lonely area named Várzea, in the urban areas of Recife, so I recommend taking a taxi at the terminal named "Terminal Rodoviário do Recife", which you can access by train from the central railway station of Recife, or from other cities directly. Where to stay in Recife

It's no surprise that the vast majority of accommodations in Recife crowd around the city's long expanses of shorefront. Consider the southern coastal neighborhood of Boa Viagem for instant access to miles of vibrant beachfront, the prime location for locals and tourists alike to make the most of the sunshine. As well as high-end hotels and beach resorts, you can opt to stay in a range of fun, budget hostels, thanks to Recife's ever-growing popularity among backpackers. If you want something a bit quieter, look to the nearby historical town of Olinda, just 6 km (3.7) north of the city center. From there, you can easily make day--or night--trips to Recife proper.
