  • Not to be confused with the Instituto Brennand, which belongs to the artist Francisco Brennand's cousin. The site houses hundreds of pieces of the artist and local events. Worth visiting.

  • Is one of the greatest Brazilian artists and your collection impresses with quality and quantity! Visit and enjoy each piece and spaces. The courtyard of the sculptures and garden Burle Marx are not to be missed!

  • The place and very nice, but getting to it is a real trip! Get ready for a heavy traffic to reach and very bad streets. The last 3kms are unpaved. Upon arrival you already is graced by the works of Brennand, garden and not counting other who are in locations throughout the workshop. For those who like the pottery site is a real learning about this type of art. If it is raining the car gets away from the workshop itself and has an excerpt to be done on foot. The site is a farm and for those who enjoy the nature is a great site too!

  • Exceptional! The location seems surreal and the composition of art, architecture and landscape is stunning. Don't miss the sketches and paintings, they are of excellent quality and show the diversity of Brennands work. The idea to show so many works of a single artist in a place designed and developed by himself creates an unique atmosphere. Visiting this place felt like diving into another world... definitive a must-visit in Recife!
  • It was excellent. The place is beautiful, the pieces will challenge your imagination and I got to see Francisco Brennand while at the museum. He was very nice and gentle, explained a little about his work, influences, just amazing.
  • Those art works of Brennand reminded me of Antonio Gaudi as they expressed human essential instincts and desires, in supernatural ways. This museum is just like a theme park and it has a lot of mysterious objects including the temple surrounded by water and a construction reminiscent of ancient Roman baths. It has a nice café. But this site is located in the forest of an isolated lonely area named Várzea, in the urban areas of Recife, so I recommend taking a taxi at the terminal named "Terminal Rodoviário do Recife", which you can access by train from the central railway station of Recife, or from other cities directly. Where to stay in Recife

It's no surprise that the vast majority of accommodations in Recife crowd around the city's long expanses of shorefront. Consider the southern coastal neighborhood of Boa Viagem for instant access to miles of vibrant beachfront, the prime location for locals and tourists alike to make the most of the sunshine. As well as high-end hotels and beach resorts, you can opt to stay in a range of fun, budget hostels, thanks to Recife's ever-growing popularity among backpackers. If you want something a bit quieter, look to the nearby historical town of Olinda, just 6 km (3.7) north of the city center. From there, you can easily make day--or night--trips to Recife proper.
