  • The market itself is good, offering very cheap priced crafts. But it's a market popular with thousands of offerings, too hot, tight corridors, etc. And the region is a little scary scary.

  • I returned to the San Jose market to do some shopping and realized the need for attention while walking the streets of the surrounding areas, as there are many beggars and strange people who seemed drugged. So, nothing to take watch, nor walk with jewels or props.

  • Many shops and they got everything: nets, leather and straw, clay pots, regional meat cuts, cheeses, butter, cashew, cassava flour.

  • Authentic street market with lots of indoor artisanry shops and many stands with vegetables, fruits, spices, snacks, meat, poultry and seafood. The earlier you go the better. Expect the messiness and hectic ambiance of any third world street market. I wouldn't recommend it for the infirm, families with pets, small children or toddlers. Vendors only speak Brazilian Portuguese. Great for getting a legit taste of life from the point of view of local working class people. Much better to go with a person who has been there before.
  • Muito bom, tudo mais barato.
  • Ótimo para compras, porém é bem sujo.
  • É um local visitado por turistas de toda parte do mundo.
  • Bom lugar para se visitar e comprar artesanto
