  • The full place bad about sale of fish and it's kind of dirty and dangerous. But shopping is pretty cool, I can buy crafts at prices well accessible

  • The classic atmosphere of mercadão, with all mixed together, is what the tourist will find in the market of Saint Joseph. Grocery stores, cereals and nuts are neighbors of utensils, meats, fish and seafood. There's a more rustic leather handcrafts, backcountry accessories, lace pieces, fabrics. The site is full of local produce, so it's worth being restored. Attractive for tourists who want good prices.

  • We walked for a long time. And all the streets-solid market where all trade. Place some restless, showed me several times on camera, something said, recommended putting it away, hide. Near the market, forced all the tents, so consider well the building fails. A beautiful market, built in the last century.

  • Authentic street market with lots of indoor artisanry shops and many stands with vegetables, fruits, spices, snacks, meat, poultry and seafood. The earlier you go the better. Expect the messiness and hectic ambiance of any third world street market. I wouldn't recommend it for the infirm, families with pets, small children or toddlers. Vendors only speak Brazilian Portuguese. Great for getting a legit taste of life from the point of view of local working class people. Much better to go with a person who has been there before.
  • Muito bom, tudo mais barato.
  • Ótimo para compras, porém é bem sujo.
  • É um local visitado por turistas de toda parte do mundo.
  • Bom lugar para se visitar e comprar artesanto
