  • We buy cashews in Porto de Galinhas where kg cost R$ 42.00 because they told us that in Recife in this market had more varieties for a better price, well, before handing the car and go to the airport we know the market and we were horrified, horrible place, has no health surveillance we enter an aisle full of meat exposed in the heat , hanging in the hallway, some dark already, a plastic tray full of liver with flies, I almost threw up.. I turned left to get out of that Hall and had fish, seafood and shrimp todossss out of refrigeration or ice, that warmth, that smell. people I was traumatized, my husband wanted to kill me, we ran out of the market and found 1 Brown tent, wilted, and toast, we took the flight and came to Sao Paulo without the nuts. Don't visit this site, it seems horror movie scene.

  • MARKET SAN JOSE - Praza Dom Vital neighbor to the Basilica of Na Sra da Penha Monday to Saturday from 6 to 18 pm and Sundays from 6 to 13 hs. Historical market opened in 1875. He was one of the first buildings of the Brazil built completely with iron structure, following the line of the Grenelle market of Paris. It has 542 stalls selling many products such as handicrafts, household items, meats, fresh fish, typical foods, clothes, gifts, curiosities and souvenirs

  • Authentic street market with lots of indoor artisanry shops and many stands with vegetables, fruits, spices, snacks, meat, poultry and seafood. The earlier you go the better. Expect the messiness and hectic ambiance of any third world street market. I wouldn't recommend it for the infirm, families with pets, small children or toddlers. Vendors only speak Brazilian Portuguese. Great for getting a legit taste of life from the point of view of local working class people. Much better to go with a person who has been there before.
  • Muito bom, tudo mais barato.
  • Ótimo para compras, porém é bem sujo.
  • É um local visitado por turistas de toda parte do mundo.
  • Bom lugar para se visitar e comprar artesanto
