  • If it is out of Recife just to visit the Fort, forget it. Is under construction and there's nothing to see, but if it is to take advantage of Itamaracá and Crown of the Plane, there is worth the trip.

  • Don't stay in town, and on the island of Itamaracá. I remember the first time I went there as a kid, it was a complex of rehabilitation of prisoners and some of the Fort's stores were up to some prisoners. Years later I couldn't check since the same was in the process of restoration.

  • It was frustrating to travel to the island of Itamaracá and not knowing the dependencies of Fort Orange, which was closed, possibly for renovation. Externally the building was quite deteriorated.
