Cachoeira de Iracema, Presidente Figueiredo

(4.7/5 based on 340+ reviews on the web)
Surrounded by lush forest greenery, Cachoeira de Iracema is a stunning waterfall located deep in the self-proclaimed “Terra de Cachoeiras”--“Land of Waterfalls”--. After exploring the surrounding area, including some fascinating caves carved into the sandstone, you can take a refreshing swim in the shallow waters at its base, or carefully climb the rocks and sit directly in the cascading water. To reach the fall, you have to follow a trail cut through the dense rainforest of an ecological reserve. While manageable without one, hiring a guide will add to your experience, their encyclopedic knowledge of the native flora and fauna surpassing that of any guidebook. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Presidente Figueiredo holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Cachoeira de Iracema and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • After a frustrated attempt to get the waterfall of the Alagoas Curassow (only 4 x 4 car, walked more than 50 km for nothing) resolve to go to be near Iracema beach town and have no regrets, we had the trail to go in cachoeira das Araras earned very worthwhile. I just think we should flag best track, because at various times we were afraid of being in the wrong way.

  • Beautiful waterfall of ice water with walking options in caves. In full the water volume increases and becomes very strong Rapids. Can be dangerous to children.

  • Beautiful place. Water from a red tinge. Easy access to Waterfall. The water temperature very pleasant. Worth knowing. The day I went it was raining but it didn't hurt to take a good bath. I believe that with Sun must be even better.
