Projeto Tamar, Praia do Forte
(4.3/5 based on 5,500+ reviews on the web)
Dedicated to the protection of sea turtles along the Brazilian coast, Projeto Tamar is a conservation project that allows you to view several types of turtles and a couple of sharks. If you're interested in eco-tourism, this is must-see attraction. The organized grounds contain large tanks where you can view turtles in an environment that mimics their wild habitat. While this is an interesting attraction all year round, it is especially touching from October to March when you can watch the release of baby turtles into the wild.
