Imbassai Beach, Praia do Forte

(4.1/5 based on 800+ reviews on the web)
An alternative to a saltwater beach, Imbassai Beach snuggles up to a river where you can swim in fresh water. You can also explore the plant life along the banks or simply rest by the water. Traditional restaurants, or barrcas, dot the landscape and serve salty, fried snacks. For a less expensive option, bring a picnic or take an inexpensive raft ride down the river to find other eating options. Plan to see Imbassai Beach and other attractions that appeal to you using our Praia do Forte vacation builder.

  • Located close to praia do forte. Good structure. Date of the River with the sea. Great for bath.

  • I visited the beach with my family, and we had a nice walk. Recommend going to the location where the water is calmer, because in some places the waves even at the edge are very strong. We were a little disappointed with the construction of condos too close to the sea. When the tide came in, we couldn't go any further because the wall of the building blocked us. In addition, the builders left waste scattered on the sand, so care must be taken not to cut the standing stones or tiles. Another disappointment was seeing reasonable amounts of garbage dumped on top of a sea turtle nest, which completed our impression that the environment doesn't get a lot of respect in the scene. The majority of establishments are kiosks, but there is a restaurant called "the fisherman" for those who prefer.
