Imbassai Beach, Praia do Forte
(4.1/5 based on 750+ reviews on the web)
An alternative to a saltwater beach, Imbassai Beach snuggles up to a river where you can swim in fresh water. You can also explore the plant life along the banks or simply rest by the water. Traditional restaurants, or barrcas, dot the landscape and serve salty, fried snacks. For a less expensive option, bring a picnic or take an inexpensive raft ride down the river to find other eating options. Plan to see Imbassai Beach and other attractions that appeal to you using our Praia do Forte vacation builder.

  • The village is quite cute, but just to rest, has nothing to do at night, and has few options. We decided to have dinner on the beach of the Fort.

  • Hard to get and quite desepcionante. Far peaia do forte is the place you have to visit. Is not far and the difference is avismal.

  • I thought it best that praia do Forte, praia in Imbassaí, in addition to the beauty of the river meets the sea, the beach has fewer stones and is good for bathing in the sea, despite the Sea being more agitated. The prices are also more economical in Imbassaí.
