4.0
#1 of 16 in Things to do in Prado
Beach Nature / Park
Located twelve miles from downtown Prado you will find Tororao Beach, surrounded by cliffs and salt water pools formed by the rocks. The mini waterfall can cool you off after walking the rocks and basking in the sun. There is a freshwater spout, which is constantly gushing, providing a nice alternative to the seawater, and a place to wash off the salty water. The restaurant at the beach provides many great food options. To visit Tororao Beach on your trip to Prado, use our Prado vacation route planner.

Where to stay in Prado

As the center of the municipality, the town of Prado enjoys a surprisingly large array of places to stay. The general emphasis is on modest guesthouses, known as pousadas, offering simple, comfortable rooms for good prices. The southeastern area of town has the greatest selection of lodgings, with enough choice to suit a range of tastes and budgets. However, if you head a little farther inland--to the west of Avenida Jose Pontes de Almeida, for example--prices drop markedly, since you'll be (just a little bit) farther from the beaches.

  • The beach is very beautiful, but has a lot of rocks. You have to walk a bit to find sand. At low tide the rocks form swimming pools where you can take a shower. Has a qu restaurant serves lunch.

  • The beach is beautiful, with great views and a natural bath of fresh water directly from a small fountain in the hillside. However, the only on-site kiosk has a service that leaves much to be desired. Take your food and drink and enjoy a great beach.

  • The best experience we've had in this charming place was not only the beach, but the people who earn your daily bread was an example that doing that much lack in these brazils. Besides being very well attended, we were also rewarded with a healthy dose of civility, citizenship and honesty. Imagine you going away and to get to the hotel which is 20 km away my wife realize that you forgot your purse with all documents, card, money, cell phone!! When we go to the restaurant to pick up the bag, touches the intercom and the desk clerk says he has a couple in the lobby with the bag. In addition to the pleasant surprise, it was also a relief. Were the owners of the restaurant Torarão you found where we were staying and were kind enough to deliver in person the pertente of my wife. It was truly a rewarding experience and charming. So don't forget to visit this beach and meet their owners, it pays to know a wonderful beach, a delicious restaurant and people of the highest quality. Congratulations Prado.
