  • To history fans and for those who like landscapes and architecture, I recommend a visit (some 2 hours) the chapel of St. Anthony, at the end of the road of the same name, on the outskirts of Porto Velho. One of the first churches to be built in the capital, the Chapel is simple but welcoming. Well cared for by responsible, is located on the banks of the river wood and visitor has a privileged view of the dam of the hydroelectric plant of Santo Antonio, newly built in that watercourse. Who is there, can not fail to visit a small museum opened next to the site of the Chapel, which houses a lot of local history.
