  • Interesting site to meet. This is a small market with a variety of local products.

  • It is a shame that this place so ugly and dirty, needs an urgent health organization. Much food odor and little decorated it all. I expected something else, however buy some nice things

  • Looks like camelodromo market without regulation, and even more, very dirty. It has to be completely reformed, because your current state is unfortunate.

  • Saltenha top
  • Typical food, meeting place and chat, handicrafts, medicinar plants, you can eat in or buy diversified products. Negative: Lack space for many consumers.

Where to stay in Porto Velho

As a destination with few tourists, Porto Velho does not feature an overabundance of accommodation options, though you'll find enough of a range to fit most budgets. Avenida 7 de Septiembre has quite a few economy hotels and hostels, where rock-bottom prices sometimes come with dubious quality and cleanliness. Most of the city's more upscale establishments, which range from family-run guesthouses to midsize hotel blocks, lie near one of the town's main thoroughfares, Avenida Governador Jorge Teixeira. Few options exist farther outside town, and you'll likely want access to a car in order to get around efficiently as public transport in the area can be unreliable.
