  • It was a bit tiring to get to the Museum. I didn't notice that the developer Waldir, Goiânia, had already alerted here on this site about the correct address on the day of September 30. As I knew very well the old St. James Parish (transformed into Archdiocesan Shrine Parish Nossa Senhora Aparecida since 2008), because I lived in the city until the year 2000, and followed the struggle of father Innocenzo Mângano, the popular father Enzo, to build one of the most prominent temples in the capital, gave the work to confirm the address when my call to schedule a visit to the Museum (you have to call the 69-3214-7443). My wife and I were in the southern area and we had to take two buses to get to the sanctuary, which sits on the East side (rua José Amador of Kings, JK). We arrived in the Nick of time of our visitation, and in the Office of the Church, we were informed that it was no longer there. Museum address: Street .3154, Mané Garrincha. Not far from the neighborhood, however, as it was a cab, we had to make a forced walk. Leaving the Sanctuary, just return 1 (a) corner and turn right at rua Benedito Innocent (College Street is Daniel Neri) and go straight down the street paved. Passing a little daycare Aunt Sonia, you already see the street Mané Garrincha (in other sections is named Union Street), transversal. Turn left at Mané Garrincha and go straight for about 100 meters. Then, on the right side you will find the village of Nazareth: Saint James the greater. As the Capuchin Friars, religious order the Franciscan family, who run the parish Archdiocesan Shrine our Lady of Aparecida, former Parish St. James major, did not want to remain with the administration of the Museum, by the difficulties, etc., this mission was well received by father Enzo, that even distant (in Italy, Ji-Paraná, etc) triggered your employees of the project Village Nazareth to keep the International Museum active in such a place. Could not be otherwise, the Father Enzo was one of the main responsible for the acquisition of the museum pieces. And another thing, the international Crib Museum with works of various styles, sizes and origins, while equity rondoniense, was already consolidated in the minds and hearts of the people. As well as the Monumental Nativity scene Perm, kind of a big model, in which 17 scenarios on the birth, death, resurrection and Ascension of Christ are narrated electronically and highlighted through games of lights. Including State of Rondônia artistic heritage since 2002, according to Government Decree 9983. Well, as we enter the Village Nazareth talked with administrators, please note the reason of our delay, we will pay the value of R$ 5.00 per person, take that drink of water to forget the scorching sun that had faced and we leave for the visitation guided by Your Martins. We found very nice pool area and the projects touched there. The neighborhood has many Socialist failures (like most in old port) and is well away from the central area of the city. Streets with asphalt, for example, only those that pass the collectives. We note that within the village Nazareth there is a kindergarten, senior area, art school, course, etc. There is not only the Museum while social and cultural contribution. Noting, however, that the tour is just the same. After we wonder with the existing collections at the Museum, Your Malik left us free to wander a little village area, photographing some spaces, work, etc. Everything got Father Enzo, "father Builder" (in Rondonia were several churches and schools that even helped come true), which drew crowds in their events. I have good memories of the time when I was more frequent. His Malik told that every year he appears in old port and runs to the village Nazareth in order to perform your traditional festival of pasta, like good Italian. Note, the museum works from Tuesday to Sunday. Well, folks, that was our contribution.

  • After you call and schedule the visit, we had a pleasant visit to this Museum, where there are cribs in various part of the world: Congo, Slovakia, Italy, Bolivia and several other locations, with predominance of local jobs. The address is not the constant here, but AV. Mané Garrincha, 3154, Socialist.

  • It's actually a church that offers a giant Nativity scene, excellent sacred art and for those who love religion, a little far from the Center, but it's worth it.
