It's not very nice, it's dirty, dark, even dangerous, that night, more have enough bar, restaurants, and bera the madeira River.

Is a good place to enjoy the view of the river and see some of the city's history. The sunset is really beautiful, there are several stalls with local crafts. The location could be better maintained and count on a better structure

It was the first place I was in town, it was beautiful ... now is abandoned, the other day I went with a friend and we were harassed by several men (high?), came to put a note in my car with she-male stuff in broad daylight, there was no any policing at the time, I thought the worst. Be careful out there! I recommend that you go only on weekends or in good company!

Where to stay in Porto Velho

As a destination with few tourists, Porto Velho does not feature an overabundance of accommodation options, though you'll find enough of a range to fit most budgets. Avenida 7 de Septiembre has quite a few economy hotels and hostels, where rock-bottom prices sometimes come with dubious quality and cleanliness. Most of the city's more upscale establishments, which range from family-run guesthouses to midsize hotel blocks, lie near one of the town's main thoroughfares, Avenida Governador Jorge Teixeira. Few options exist farther outside town, and you'll likely want access to a car in order to get around efficiently as public transport in the area can be unreliable.
