Reserva Pataxo da Jaqueira, Porto Seguro

4.1
The inhabitants of the Reserva Pataxo da Jaqueira give you a hands-on tour through their culture. Besides observing the day-to-day life of the indigenous tribe living on the reservation, you can also sign up for an archery class and eat fish cooked in a banana leaf. • Very interesting. The Indians try to rescue your culture but without exaggeration. In time no attempt to hide that are integrated with the modern society. Very interesting to see how the indigenous lifestyle and imagine how it was before the integration with the white man. To top it off, it is worth mentioning the high degree of preparation of the Indians to deal with visitors. The craft is more expensive than in the city, but when you think in terms of helping to maintain the reservation, it's worth paying a little more.

Where to stay in Porto Seguro

Luxury hotels and beach resorts are the name of the game when it comes to accommodations in Porto Seguro, with many tourists looking to relax and enjoy the coastal atmosphere. Most of these lie a couple of miles north of the city center, pressed up against long stretches of beach. To enjoy the party scene and get close to the best things to see in Porto Seguro, stay in the narrow streets of the old town. However, if the nightlife seems a bit too intense for your taste, consider the plentiful options in Arraial d'Ajuda--a smaller, quieter town just a couple of miles to the south.
